Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Scout Pro ("the App") is built for professional filmmakers who need a private, offline-first tool. We have designed the App to operate entirely on your device with no data transmitted to external servers.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Scout Pro does not collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Photos, audio recordings, or any media you create in the App
• Project data, location names, or scout reports
• Usage analytics, crash reports (unless explicitly opted in via iOS)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs

3. Data Stored On-Device

All data you create in Scout Pro — including projects, locations, rooms, photos, audio notes, GPS coordinates, and PDF reports — is stored locally in the App's private container on your device using SQLite and the iOS file system.

This data is:

• Backed up through iCloud if you have iCloud Backup enabled (managed by Apple)
• Never transmitted to AioDeck servers
• Deleted when you uninstall the App

4. Camera and Microphone Access

Scout Pro requests access to your device's camera and microphone to enable photo capture and audio ambience recording within the App. These permissions are used solely within the App and are not used to collect data for external purposes.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

5. Location Access

Scout Pro may request location access to auto-fill GPS coordinates for a location. Location data is stored locally within your project and is never transmitted externally. You can deny location access and manually enter coordinates if preferred.

6. In-App Purchases

Pro feature purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. AioDeck does not receive or store any payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all transaction data.

7. Third-Party Services

Scout Pro uses Apple Maps for map previews within the App. Apple's data practices apply to map tile requests. No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are integrated into the App.

8. Children's Privacy

Scout Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
